The highly anticipated seventh season of ‘American Horror Story’ has whetted the appetite of fans even further by revealing another high profile cast addition, in the shape of ‘Girls’ creator Lena Dunham.

The FX horror anthology series revealed that 31 year old Dunham would be joining the already star studded cast in a tweet via ‘AHS’ showrunner Ryan Murphy on Wednesday evening (July 19th).

As of the time of writing, no casting details have been revealed in order to even guess at what role Dunham might have indeed, the overall theme for the upcoming seventh season hasn’t yet been confirmed.

He told Andy Cohen earlier this year that the seventh series “is going to be about the election that we just went through so I think that will be interesting for a lot of people.”

## ## Murphy later told The Hollywood Reporter: “What I’m interested in doing is not just the obvious, single minded point of view but rather express all sides of that equation. What needs to happen in our country now is for people to listen to each other we may not always agree with each other and we may be horrified by what the other side is doing but we have to move toward understanding.”

Dunham, who wrapped up ‘Girls’ after six seasons earlier this year, joins new cast arrivals Billy Eichner and Billie Lourd (who worked with Murphy on ‘Scream Queens’) and ‘AHS’ veterans Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.
